Iris and her children.

These are two shots I am thinking about using for my portrait portfolio. Iris' children, Cody and Chelsea, are just too cute. I kinda felt sorry for them though, they weren't too happy about their outfits. Shot with my Canon EOS Rebel XT and 18-55mm lens. I also used a Nikon SB800 flash on a light stand with a Vivitar soft box. I had an easier time shooting these two than I have with my human models.

Fire Leaf

My sister suggested shooting some leaves up close to show the texture. This is what I came up with. I think the water drops add to it. Shot with Canon EOS Rebel XT 18-55mm lens, ISO 100, f/5.6 1/60th. I held it up in the air to get a somewhat clean background and tilted it until the light hit the water just right.

The Pond

I took this when I was out shooting for my pano. Water in a photograph always helps it look better I think. Captured with Canon EOS Rebel XT, 18-55mm lens, ISO 200, f/22 1/60th on a tripod.

Tiffany - Part 1

This is my studio shot for the long term portrait assignment. Shot in portrait bay 2 with Canon Rebel XT and 75-300mm lens at ISO 200, f/8 and 1/60th. I had a lot of trouble coming up with poses. In the end Tiffany pretty much did this one herself.

The view from the parking lot last night as I was leaving school. Captured with my Canon EOS Rebel XTi and 17-55mm lens, 1/15th at f/5.6. I used the trash can to lean on since I didn't have my tripod.

Outdoor Portrait Outtakes

This is an outtake from my outdoor portrait session for Bio Portrait class. He tried valiantly to corral all three dogs at once, but it was almost impossible. All in all it was a fun shoot, even though I got a lot of doggy slobber on me. Image captured using my Canon EOS Rebel XTi and 24-105mm lens, ISO 200, 1/125th at f/5.6.
